Camcorders in hand did you or a family member capture moments in life that you'd love to watch on today's technology? Is your old camcorder broken, your VCR packed away? Transferring your home videos to DVD is a great way to enjoy those moments again.

We understand that in your search for VHS to DVD, video to DVD, or straight video transferring that you need someone you can trust. Our Video Transfer Services provide one on one consultation, in house transfer and editing, and a customized DVD covers. We do not send out any of our transfer work to another company and your tapes stay in our editing studio until they are completely transferred and ready to be reunited with you.

What video formats do we accept?

We accept VHS, Minidv, and 8 mm tapes (digital 8, Hi-8, Video -8).

We do not accept any reel to reel tapes at this time.

What do I get when I transfer my Videos with MAS Memory Preservation?

• Concierge Services including pick up and delivery– If you feel anxious just at the thought of the process of hiring someone to transfer your videos, you won’t have to worry any more. We offer a concierge service by appointment where we will go over the whole process with you including a video inventory consultation at your home or at our office. We are happy to pick up and deliver your project or you are welcome to schedule a time to drop off your videos at our studio.
• Custom DVD covers – Impress your family and friends with customized DVD covers that will look just like the DVDs you buy at the store including a bar code. Available on all of our Video Transfer services. The back of all DVDs will have listed the videos included in each DVD so you won't have to worry about finding a certain video clip.
• Printed DVD – Truly professional! Each of our Video Transfer Projects comes with a DVD cover that is printed directly on the DVD. You won’t have to worry about a label catching in your DVD player and all videos included in the DVD are listed on the physical DVD as well making your video management that much easier.
• DVD Menu - Insert your DVD and a menu will appear. This is particularly important if we can fit more than one video onto a DVD. There is no need to watch all of the video footage from beginning to end to find a specific clip, just use the menu.

Video Transfer Pricing

We price all video transfer jobs by the minute at the end of general editing. What does this mean? We bring all of your videos into our computer and then we cut out any static or black screen frames that don't have sound and if necessary smooth the transitions between the frames. We don't charge you for frames that weren't used.

What if I only want to transfer clips from the videos I have to make a new DVD collection?

Yes, you can absolutely do this and would be considered a video montage or a life movie. Please note a straight transfer is less expensive than a montage because of the manual nature of picking clips and adding other effects like music.

Basic Montage / Life Movie Description

Our Basic Montage / Life Movie package includes concierge with pick up/delivery, DVD cover, printed DVD, Custom Title and Credit Clip, music, basic editing, scanning, and project proofing.*

 

Premium Montage / Life Movie Description

Our Premium Montage / Life Movie package includes the following concierge with pick up/delivery, DVD cover, printed DVD, Custom Title and Credit Clip, music, basic editing, scanning, and project proofing* plus the following:

• Minor photo restoration
• Up to 4 Chapter inclusions
• Up to 4 Graphic/Text clips

*After 4 different reviews we might suggest meeting in person to review the overall project, to discuss all of the changes you’ve requested, and to see what else we can do to make your project one you’ll love. Typically, we like to get a detailed list of what you want in your project before we start to work so we can deliver a project that will need few changes, but we do understand sometimes you might need to change the direction of the Life Movie after seeing it a few times and while we will work with you to make any changes you might want to make we do reserve the right to charge a $25.00 an hour design fee after 4 different reviews.
