Why Photo Restoration?

Restoring photos is a very personal choice and you can choose to have a photo restored for many different reasons. I truly understand the many different desires that are behind restoring a photos. After my husband’s great Aunt passed away, it was important to our family to restore her photos and so something that would represent the wonderful life she lived. I wanted to make sure I could capture her as if the photo had never been damaged and you too can have photos that have been repaired.

 

What do you do when restoring a photo?

I offer basic photo restoration for black and white, sepia, or color photos.

• Scanning - Each photo is scanned into my computer for digital editing.
• Cropping - If you’d like your photo to be a certain size I will be happy to do any cropping that you’d like.
• Dust Removal - Often old photos have specks of dust, mold, or what appears to be little worms on them. I digitally remove these particles from the photo.
• Line and Crease removal - Old photos also have a tendency to have been folded or marked with a pen. I try my best to remove these lines and creases. If a photo is too damaged for basic restoration I will let you know.
• Basic color correction - I provide basic color correction but don’t offer a color replacement service at this time.

 

The Photo Restoration package includes:

Concierge Services with pick up and delivery– You have the option to meet with me one on one in your home or in my office to discuss what you’d like done to your photo. If you are too busy I can also just pick up your photo or you can mail it to me.

Digital Copy– Each Photo Restoration will be saved on a printed DVD and given to you in a basic CD cover.

Print - One print of each restored photo will be provided to you in the size you specified for cropping.

 

Photo Restoration Pricing

Project rates are charged by the hour not by the photo:

$45.00 - (for the first hour of work)

$25.00 - (for each additional hour)
