Montages / Life Movies

Life Movies are also known as Montages or Photo to DVD services. A Life Movie is photos, video clips, music, and words stitched together to tell a story. Everyone has their own narrative in life and this is why we create custom Life Movies, so we can showcase your unique story!

Why should I make a Life Movie of my photos, videos, and other memorable items?

Capture a major life event - It is a great way to combine photos, videos, etc of one of your life’s greatest moments into DVD. For example anniversaries, milestone birthdays, religious events, and children activities.

Heartfelt Gift - Nothing says I love you like having a custom DVD made of someone’s life. Not only does it let the person know how much you care but it showcases how much you’ve enjoyed being part of their life.

Make a statement - Would you like to be set apart from the rest at your next big party, reunion, or social event? Life Movies can include stories you’ve written with the many wonderful people in your life and is a great way to showcase the time you’ve spent together.

What can I include in my Montage project?

You are welcome to use the following:

• Any photos you may have whether they are 35mm, printed photos, digital photos, or negatives. (Please note that for digital photos, we prefer them to be 300 dpi. Digital photos that are 72 dpi will look pixelated on the screen.)
• Any video clips you'd like included whether they are on vhs, 8mm, minidv tapes, or digital video.
• Any cards, poems, favorite songs, sayings, or musings you'd like to add.

What do I get if I use MAS Memory Preservation for my Montage / Life Movie?

All Montage / Life Movie projects whether basic or premium include the following.

• Concierge Services including pick up and delivery– We offer a concierge service by appointment where we will go over the whole process with you including your preference for photo and video ordering, theme of for your project, special details about the people in your project, song list, and, any deadlines you may have, etc. We are happy to pick up and deliver your project or you are welcome to schedule a time to drop off your photos and/or videos at our studio.
• Custom DVD covers – Using the photos you provide, we will create a custom DVD cover for your project. On the back of the DVD is a place to write a sentimental note about the Montage.
• Printed DVD – Your Montage / Life Movie will be delivered to you on a printed DVD.
• Basic Editing - All photo scanning or video editing done for your project will be scanned and corrected for color correction and minimal flaws.

Montage / Life Movie Pricing

We price Montages for just photos by the photo and Video Montages a set fee for the first 30 minutes of clipped video and a per minute fee for minutes over 30.

Basic Montage / Life Movie

Our Basic Montage / Life Movie package includes concierge with pick up/delivery, DVD cover, printed DVD, Custom Title and Credit Clip, music, basic editing, scanning, and project proofing.* It is available for projects with photos and/or video.

In choosing this package you will only get the following:

• All of your photos will be scanned into a digital format and provided in 5x7 and 8x10 formats if requested.
• You have the option to have all digital files of your photos burned onto a DVD. If you require more than one DVD, volume information will be included on the back of the DVD cover and on the printed DVD.
• We will then take all of your photos and video clips organizing them into a montage (a slideshow of your photos set to music).
• You will also receive a Custom Title and Credit Clip for the beginning and end of your montage.
• Your choice of genre or specific songs if available will be added in the background.
• You'll get to proof the project before it is burned to DVD.

Premium Montage / Life Movie

Our Premium Montage / Life Movie package includes the following concierge with pick up/delivery, DVD cover, printed DVD, Custom Title and Credit Clip, music, basic editing, scanning, and project proofing* as noted above plus the following:

• Minor photo restoration of any of the scanned photos or slides
• Up to 4 Chapter inclusions (We use this if you have a theme for your Montage i.e. an anniversary and you'd like to separate groups of pictures.)
• Up to 4 Graphic/Text clips (We can add poetry, any heart felt notes you'd like to add, any funny antidotes or creative graphics to celebrate the theme of your montage.

 

Please note the following:

*After 4 different reviews we might suggest meeting in person to review the overall project, to discuss all of the changes you’ve requested, and to see what else we can do to make your project one you’ll love. Typically, we like to get a detailed list of what you want in your project before we start to work so we can deliver a project that will need few changes, but we do understand sometimes you might need to change the direction of the Life Movie after seeing it a few times and while we will work with you to make any changes you might want to make we do reserve the right to charge a $25.00 an hour design fee after 4 different reviews.
